ParcelPoint

Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 28 May 2026

These Terms (“Terms”) govern your use of the ParcelPoint smart locker network, the ParcelPoint mobile application, the partner web portal, and related services (together, the “Service”), operated in Kenya by Squared (“Squared”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

The Service

ParcelPoint operates a network of smart parcel lockers and the software that manages them. The Service supports:

  • Consumer drop-off and pickup of parcels.
  • Partner organisations reserving locker capacity for their delivery operations.
  • Operators (Squared staff, partner staff, and couriers) administering the network.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to make a booking, hold an account, or operate the Service.

Accounts and authentication

Operator accounts are provisioned by invitation. We authenticate operators using magic-link emails and, for administrator accounts, multi-factor authentication. You are responsible for keeping your email account, devices, and authentication factors secure. Notify us immediately at hello@squared.co.ke if you suspect unauthorised access. We may suspend or terminate any account that violates these Terms or applicable law.

Bookings and payments

  • Locker bookings are paid via M-PESA in Kenyan Shillings (KES).
  • Pricing depends on locker size and duration, and is shown at the time of booking.
  • We initiate an M-PESA STK push to your phone; the booking is confirmed once payment is received.
  • All sales are final once a parcel has been deposited. Refunds for failed payments or undelivered service are issued at our discretion; contact us within seven days of the booking.

Parcel handling

  • You may store a parcel for up to three days from drop-off. Extended storage requires a paid extension or a partner agreement.
  • Parcels not collected within the storage period may be returned to sender, transferred to a partner for handling, or, where neither is possible, treated as abandoned after thirty days.
  • The Service is not insured cargo carriage. We hold parcels using reasonable security measures; we are not liable for the contents of a parcel or for indirect or consequential losses arising from its handling.

Acceptable use

You may not use the Service to deposit or transport:

  • Illegal items, controlled substances, weapons, or anything prohibited by Kenyan law.
  • Hazardous materials (flammable, explosive, biological, radioactive, or corrosive).
  • Perishable goods or live animals.
  • Currency, precious metals, or negotiable instruments.

You may not interfere with or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service or its hardware.

Intellectual property

The Service, its software, designs, and branding are owned by Squared. No licence to copy, modify, or redistribute is granted other than the limited right to use the Service as intended.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from your use of the Service is limited to the fees you paid us in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses.

Indemnity

You agree to indemnify Squared against claims arising from your breach of these Terms or your misuse of the Service.

Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be posted on this page; continued use of the Service after a change constitutes acceptance.

Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Kenya. The courts of Nairobi have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes, without prejudice to your right to bring a claim where you reside under applicable consumer-protection law.
